A discount for placing a child in a preschool can be applied to the kindergarten fee (according to section § 35ba, paragraph 1, letter g) of the Income Tax Act). In 2021, a discount of CZK 15,200 can be applied for each supported child living with the taxpayer in a joint household, in 2022 CZK 16,200, in 2023 CZK 17,300. You are entitled to parental allowance if your child under the age of two attends a children’s group for no more than 92 hours in a calendar month, the attendance of older children is not monitored.
The price list* from the amendment is affected by the amendment to the Act on the provision of child care services in children’s groups, which brings about a capping of the invoicing amount to a maximum monthly amount of CZK 4,700 for parents of children younger than 3 years**.
